Public Notices

Pursuant to NCGS 53C-1-4(59), public notice of applicable information regarding applications is required via a single publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the bank that is the subject of the notice has its principal office (or where the Commissioner determines is necessary), and via a posting on the Commissioner's website for at least 15 days.  The public is invited to submit written comments to the Commissioner of Banks, 4309 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-4309. Comments received within 15 days of the date of publication of the public notice shall be considered by the NCCOB.

Notice of Bank Merger (Posted 11/16/2023)

Notice is hereby given that Providence Bank, a North Carolina chartered bank, having its principal office at 450 North Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, has filed an Interagency Bank Merger Act Application with the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks for approval to merge with Coastal Bank & Trust with Providence Bank as the surviving entity. Coastal Bank & Trust is a North Carolina chartered bank and has its principal office at 2414 N Marine Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28546.  This notice is made pursuant to Section 53C-7-202 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
