Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors

The Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors has proven to be of great value to directors of all experience levels. CEOs and presidents throughout North Carolina, and surrounding states have continued to support this program by encouraging their directors to attend because of the value it provides to their financial institutions. We consistently receive feedback from directors who have attended past programs that sessions are beneficial to their development, they provide an opportunity to network with other directors, and to stay abreast of new and relevant issues on the horizon.

We have partnered with the Center for Banking and Finance at the University of North Carolina School of Law to offer this program to all directors, regardless of their level of banking experience. These programs are designed to enhance the instruction provided in our Directors’ College. The programs’ topics include, but are not limited to, emerging best practices and board expectations related to audit committee responsibilities, risk management oversight, strategic planning, and organizational culture. Our goal is to continue offering programs that focus on emerging issues in the financial industry and the challenges they face.
